Kill PHP Script if user removes copyright - Stack Overflow

I'm working on a project that I will be releasing for free but don't want people to be ripping it.

I'm sure I've seen a few people add 'PHP obfuscaters' to their scripts, so when people remove the copyright, it kills the script and notifies the user to readd the copyright.

I'm looking for something similar to that, I've googled everywhere and can't find anything.

I did find something like eval(gzinflate(base64_encode('string'))); but it never seemed to work for me.
